Kemmangundi

On the way to the hills , we had visited Harikolele Lake , Siri Coffee and Kalhatti Falls

Harikolele Lake

This lake is just a photo point and the Nature’s Marvel. Visit early in the morning to avoid crowds. There is a small Bridge and little Hut which adds beauty to the Lake

Siri Cafe

Mother Nature is beautifully carved with small plants and grass. Another Photo stop.

Kalhatti Falls

Very small waterfall, but very forceful. This fall is mostly visited by the locals. The sculptor had tried their hands even here in the falls. It looks like the water is coming from the Hindu god Shiva and two elephants are standing on either side of him

Z Point Kemmangundi

Kemmangundi has Ornamental Gardens and breathtaking Viewpoints. Don’t miss the beautiful sunset from the rose garden viewpoint.

Kemmanagundi Trekking

Just below the Z point , there is a checkpoint from where the trekking starts. Experience the chillness once entering the forest.

Jeeps are available, but walking through the forest will give a complete essence of trekking.

There are two small waterfalls on the way. Dare to have a refreshing bath in freezing cold water. After 2Kms of forest trek, the adventurous one starts. The passage is too narrow, with the hill and a deep valley on the either side. Carefully walk for another km, then you gotta climb up the mountain for the awesomeness.

Mullayanagiri

This is the highest peak in Karnataka. The van / Jeep ride itself is adventurous, such a narrow two way roads.

There are 450 steps to reach the top of the Hill, where there is a temple, and a great place to take photos with amazing views.

Ours was a three day trip from Bangalore.Do visit them and you will never regret the decision. The trip was during Diwali , so we visited a Shiva temple in the outskirts of Bangalore and took bath in this river is a wonderful add – on!

I have made a short video about this trip

Spread Joy!! Spread Positiveness!!!
