Dandeli , Karnataka is 8 hours away from Bangalore and one of the famous weekend getaway from there.

Dandeli is a Rural area, with unspoiled Nature.It was a relaxing and adventurous weekend for us there.

There are many Home stays which offer variety of packages.We chose to stay in White Elephant cottage.

As soon as we reached Dandeli, we took rental bike from Bounce Two wheeler rental shop (Ph: 9901471965) .Its better to book in advance, since we got the bikes only for a Day and on the other day its already booked.Travelling in Dandeli in bike is Bliss!!!

All the home stay provides Three meals – Lunch , Dinner and Breakfast.Indoor activities, Outdoor activities like Cycling, Archery , Campfire etc.,

The crown in Dandeli’s head is the river Kali. Such a beautiful river and its color mesmerizes us. We went to Laguna water sports and had a lot of fun and adventure doing River Rafting , Kayaking , Zorbing, Zip Lining and Swimming.

Apart from these activities you can visit Sindheri Rocks, Skyes Point(Government ID and Government approval is required),Kavala caves, Jungle Safari.There isn’t much place for sightseeing there.

PS : Dandeli is a must go place for River Adventures and wonderful climate.But its worth only a Day trip.You can add two more days to the plan and visit either Goa / Gokarna , which is three hours from here.

Unfortunately we chose the home stay which is far away from River activities.Just do a research and find the stay close by river activities.

We paid Rs:2100 in white Elephant cottage which includes Tent stay , Three Meals and all the mentioned river activities only.The cost of transport to reach the water sport place should be bared by you(which is 2500 for a vehicle).

They are really poor at coordinating.On Day 2 we took a vehicle for 1800 for taking us to all the sight seeing places , they bluffed that the Sindheri rock is closed.But later from the forest officers, we came to know that they Lied.So research well and confirm before booking.
